GOP history (and what it’s doing today)

The above illustration accurately presents the history of the Republican Party since the 20th century. The video below is about Texas, a GOP dominated state, but most of it applies to Kentucky:

Think that’s an exaggeration? Look at the campaign web site for Garland Hale Barr IV, the racist, sexist, xenophobic, transphobic Kentucky candidate for the U.S. congressional seat held by our own undead Schrödinger’s senator Mitch McConnell. It features such gems as:

He’s leading the Defend Girls’ Athletics Act that cuts off federal funding to any school or university that refuses to uphold the ban on biological men in girls’ sports. He supported and voted for legislation banning sex change operations on minors. His work protecting our girls led him to receive the endorsement of Riley Gaines. Andy has been clear, there are two genders – God given, not doctor altered – and there should be no men in girls’ sports, locker rooms, or bathrooms.

Garland is a fool who is proud to brag about his stupidity. He touts his support of the “Big Beautiful (i.e.: Bullshit) Bill,” which takes away food assistance, knocks people off of Medicaid and provides huge tax breaks to the ultrawealthy.

Garland, who has taken on the “Toy Story” name “Andy” to make it seem like he’s a real human (even though Andy in “Toy Story” is a piece of plastic pretending to be human), has made sure Kentuckians are poorer, sicker hungrier and dumber than the citizens of other states while his oligarchical puppet masters grab all the wealth.

He’s counting on people preferring to embrace their racism and wallow in their poverty. If Kentuckians elect him, they will deserve the inevitable consequences.
