I’m in my eighth decade of life, so Miss Rachel (Rachel Accurso) shouldn’t even be on my radar. But I have grandchildren, and Miss Rachel has been a major part of their lives, in particular that of my youngest grandson.
We know the songs. We remember when she teamed up with “Sesame Street” and sang the alphabet with Elmo:
I was with the grandkids in New York City about a year ago, and we saw this at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan:

Which features prominently in this video:
About a year ago, while at the Indianapolis Children’s Museum, I was with my youngest grandson when we heard a mother and her child singing the “I’m So Happy” song:
So, of course, MAGA morons and genocide apologists hate her. Partly because she does things like this:
(That’s her with Democratic Socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani singing to New York children. … THE HORROR!)
But the right and AIPAC stooges especially despise her because she speaks up for children who are being murdered in Palestine. Here’s a long, serious interview with her:
Miss Rachel is the Mr. Rogers of Generation Alpha, which as of 2025 is the largest age group in the world:

And the comparison to Mr. Rogers is a fair one. After all, his main concern was the wellbeing of children, and he did take stances that pissed off the MAGA morons (i.e. racist asshats) of his era.
Remember when he did this?
This was a huge deal at the time. The beginning of the clip shows a KKK wannabe (who definitely would be a MAGA poster boy today) pouring caustic agents in a swimming pool, because Black kids were in it. Hopefully, that goon is burning in hell today.
And other racists want to silence Miss Rachel.
Because she stands for protecting children, no matter who they are or where they live.
Here’s what she’s done lately (from The Jerusalem Post):
Children’s entertainer Ms. Rachel said on Thursday that she would donate $1 million to the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) to match singer Macklemore’s donation of the same amount, which represented his total net earnings from the Ed Sheeran Loop Tour.
She also urged “every wealthy white celebrity” to do the same.
Macklemore’s donation was split among several organizations, including the PCRF, HEAL Palestine, Gaza Soup Kitchen, Medical Aid for Palestinians, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, and Anera.
Miss Rachel stands for decency and humanity.
Unlike the mealy mouthed copper top singer who never met a billionaire he wouldn’t bend over and drop his pants for.
(So what does this have to do with Kentucky? I’m sure everyone who has a toddler knows who she is. Proof was last Halloween, when my daughter-in-law dressed up as Miss Rachel, and trick-or-treaters called her by name.)
