I hate network news. The reporting is shallow. The “alleged journalists” focus on the trite instead of the important. And it’s amazing that anchors make a fortune being so bad at what they do.

Look up the most popular program, and Fox News has the highest rating of all the shows. Watch the cable news stations, and the superficiality of their stories is only matched by their irrelevance on our lives. Meanwhile CBS News is a shell of itself because the head of the news department is more interested in fluffing the corrupt sack of pus in the White House. And the news readers (they’re not journalists) all gathered at the White House correspondents’ dinner to congratulate themselves on being lap dogs to the most heinous and corrupt president in American history.

Yes, I’m a critic, but I decided to actually watch the program that won awards this year for the best news program: ABC World News Tonight.

It was a disaster.

A quick recap: Two reports of mass shootings (one in Idaho and one in Thailand); a murder in New York where a guy killed his father and burned down a house; a truck running into a pickup truck and smashing a television station; a medical rescue in Antarctica; a release of UFO footage from the federal government; a killer clown, and a fireman who plays the piano.

What the HELL!?!?

I haven’t watched a television-news broadcasts in years, because they’re shallow and irrelevant to our lives. But what really got me is that the stories presented weren’t worthy of national coverage. They were all clickbait and are only relevant in the cities they took place in.

But the most annoying thing was that practically every sentence spoken by the anchor contained the word “tonight.”

To say that was annoying was an understatement. Does the anchor think that nauseatingly repeating the word “tonight” gave the broadcast legitimacy (it doesn’t). Really, does anyone think that’s effective?

Does the anchor think that the answer to dealing with mass shootings is to enact better gun laws? No one knows, because there was no mention of gun laws in the U.S. story, but an acknowledgement that they’re talking about them in Thailand.

Does the anchor realize that the federal government is releasing UFO footage, because it’s a distraction from the horrible corrupt actions taken every day by the Orange pedophile? OBVIOUSLY NOT!

KILLER CLOWNS????!!!!

We try to focus this blog on Kentucky specific events, but this broadcast is seen in the Bluegrass State, and there was nothing in it to make anyone think it was something that was a MUST WATCH.

After that bad experience, it will be years before I turn on a network news broadcast again.
