Anyone who has read this blog knows that in terms of respect, I put billionaires below the drunk guy who shovels elephant turds at the circus. But there is at least one billionaire who is trying to make a difference, and her donations have had a direct impact on improving the lives of residents of the Bluegrass State.

This headline from Fortune says it all:

MacKenzie Scott alone accounted for one-third of America’s $19.2 billion in megagifts last year

At the beginning of this year, People magazine reported:

MacKenzie Scott and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos divorced in 2019 after 25 years of marriage, but she’s made a name for herself as a philanthropist in the years since. …

Since their divorce, the philanthropist, who is one of the richest women in the world, has made headlines for massive donations to hundreds of charities and has given away over $26 billion.

After the divorce, Jeff gleefully embraced his midlife crisis, buying super yachts, chasing and marrying the big-boobed babe with whom he was cheating on his wife and riding a big dick into space.

(I’m sorry, am I being too vulgar?)

(Nope.)

While Jeff has been busy tickling the prostate of the Orange Menace in the White House, his ex was giving away billions. And here’s how that has affected Kentucky:

MacKenzie Scott has donated tens of millions of dollars to various Kentucky-based organizations since 2020, focusing primarily on Louisville and statewide initiatives. Her most notable donations to nonprofits in the state include:

• Voices of Hope ($2 Million): Gifted to the addiction recovery organization, which serves communities in both Fayette (Lexington) and Jefferson (Louisville) counties.
• Park Duvalle Community Health Center ($4.8 Million): Awarded to expand dental and behavioral health services and address food insecurity.
• Jefferson County Public Schools ($20 Million): Awarded to the Jefferson County Public Education Foundation—the district’s largest ever gift—to fund facilities like playgrounds, athletic fields, and music rooms at 11 West End schools.
• Urban League of Louisville ($5.7 Million): Awarded to support the organization’s economic empowerment and equity initiatives.
• Goodwill Industries of Kentucky ($10 Million): Given as an unrestricted gift that remains the largest single donation in the organization’s history.
• Metro United Way ($20 Million): Provided as the largest single donation in the history of the Louisville-based nonprofit to fulfill basic pandemic needs.

Scott’s net worth is now $31.8 billion. Bezos, in the meantime, has a net worth of $258.9 billion, eight time that of the woman he cheated on. And since I love to compare what billionaires give, if Jeff made donations in 2025 at the rate Mackenzie did, his could have been $156.3 billion. Obviously he didn’t if Scott was responsible for one-third of last year’s mega giving.

By the way, we should note that in terms of integrity and focus on philanthropy, there’s someone from, Omaha, Neb., to acknowledge.

Billionaire Warren Buffett omitted Bill Gates′ foundation from his annual donations this year after disclosures of the Microsoft co-founder’s ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. He will donate about $6 billion to four foundations connected to his own family, but did not mention Gates in his announcement Tuesday.

Buffett also said in his statement that he wants all of his remaining Berkshire Hathaway stock worth more than $140 billion donated to charity by the end of 2034. Previously the plan was for his three children to distribute his remaining fortune within 10 years of the 95-year-old investor’s death.

We’ve covered a few billionaires in this post, but what about the world’s richest man (best described as a ketamine-addled, sexist, transphobic, South African apartheid-trained illegal-alien lump of elephant shit)?

While many of her recipients had never received a donation of that size and many have called them life-changing gifts, not everyone sees her work in the same way. Take Elon Musk, who recently became the world’s first trillionaire, who thinks Scott’s giving is actually making the world “worse off.”

And this from Business Insider

Musk has previously described the speed and scale of Scott’s giving to causes such as racial equity, social justice, immigration protection, and LGBTQ+ rights as “concerning.”

He also wrote in a now-deleted post in March 2024: “super rich ex-wives who hate their former spouse” should be included among the “Reasons that Western Civilization died.”

Here’s a word you don’t hear very often.

I’m waiting for Musk to have his comeuppance, but, I’m also certain that will never happen. If it did, it probably would look like this:
