The CJ has this to say about Louisville’s mayor:
Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg is quick to tout the city’s improving crime rate — in two separate instances during a recent press conference, he noted homicides and nonfatal shootings this year have dropped by more than 30% compared to the same point in 2024.
But that doesn’t mean he isn’t keeping a close eye on what’s happening in Washington, D.C., where more than 2,000 National Guard members have been dispatched for several days on the orders of President Donald Trump.
But the New York Times ran this headline recently:
A Risky Bet: Louisville’s Democratic Mayor Accommodates ICE
Craig Greenberg’s move, requested by the Trump administration, allows federal agents more time to detain immigrants who are held at the city’s jail.
So the reality is that if the senile flatulent Orange TACO decided to move troops into this Blue city, don’t be surprised if our mayor rolls out the red carpet for the invasion, because he’s already shown that he’s MAGAts’ favorite Democratic mayor.
And just for the record, we were talking about this well before the Times decided to drop a reporter into flyover country. We pointed it out when Greenberg did this:
The Louisville Metro Department of Corrections will revive a policy to hold inmates who are unlawfully present in the U.S. for up to an additional 48 hours, which will remove the “sanctuary city” designation imposed on the city in May by the Trump administration, Mayor Craig Greenberg said.
And he gave this lame excuse:
Greenberg said aligning with the Trump administration on the issue of detainers could save Louisville’s broader immigrant community from the possibility of increased ICE raids and prevent the loss of federal funding. He noted that fewer than 100 inmates booked into Metro Corrections are affected by immigration detainers each year.
Meanwhile, this is happening in Washington, D.C.:
Greenberg has aligned himself with a military incursion on American citizens. He’s already shown he’s not going to defend our immigrant community.
And screw the racist red state governors who are sending troops to harass Americans. Remember how they screamed when this happened:
