Remember a thousand years ago during the Biden administration when a certain Kentucky congressman was performing the Mo, Larry and Curly role every night for Fox News, claiming transcendent corruption emanating from the White House required extensive and exhaustive investigations?
Well, that congressman, who still leads the House Oversight Committee, has decided that true corruption is just fine when it’s committed by the flatulent orange Chia Pet of the ketamine-overdosing Space Nazi. Because this happened (from the Associated Press):
President Donald Trump reportedly is ready to accept a luxury Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet as a gift from the ruling family of Qatar during his trip to the Middle East this coming week, and U.S. officials say it could be converted into a potential presidential aircraft.
The Qatari government acknowledged discussions between the two countries about “the possible transfer” of a plane to be used temporarily as Trump’s Air Force One, but denied that the jet “is being gifted” or that a final had been decision made.
ABC News reported that Trump will use the aircraft at his presidential plane until shortly before he leaves office in January 2029, when ownership will be transferred to the foundation overseeing his yet-to-be-built presidential library.
The gift was expected to be announced when Trump visits Qatar, according to ABC’s report, as part of a trip that also includes stops in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, the first extended foreign travel of his second term.
Here’s Republican James Comer’s reaction:
(crickets)
Good to know the congressman from Kentucky’s 1st Congressional District is quick to act on real corruption when he sees it.
A certain political commentator compares Comer to this guy:

That’s an insult to Elmer Fudd. At least he had integrity.
I’ll go with this character:

An ineffectual blowhard who struts and pontificates and is ceremoniously mocked or ignored by everyone who crosses his path. Here, listen:
Folks in the 1st District keep electing him. And he keeps screwing them over. Will they ever learn?
