From the Courier Journal:
More than four years after the U.S. Department of Justice launched a wide-ranging investigation into the Louisville Metro Police Department that led to the signing of a police reform consent decree, the federal government is abandoning its reform efforts, calling into question the future of the plan that would add oversight to the city’s government and beleaguered police department.

Is the CJ referring to a police department that:
- Killed an innocent woman in her home because they acted on an unjustified warrant and had to pay $12 million for their mistake?
- Arrested the world’s top golfer, who was trying to get to a major tournament in Louisville, and ended up with a cop complaining about messing up his pants?
- Instigated a high-speed chase in a residential neighborhood that ended up killing an innocent bystander on a scooter.
Aren’t the people who are the victims of these actions the ones who are beleaguered?
Does the CJ understand the English language? Does it have editors who speak the language? Because obviously:
