The Facebook oligarchy erased the weekend No Kings rallies

The image at the top is of the No Kings rallies held across the U.S. this past weekend. If you were on Instagram, you didn’t get to see it because Meta, Instagram’s and Facebook’s owner, shut down its coverage.

Reuters reports:

Meta … apologized for suspending the Instagram account of the “No Kings” protest movement over the weekend, attributing the shutdown to a sharp increase in activity that looked like automated bot traffic rather ‌than human exchanges.

Demonstrators gathered at thousands of events across the United States on Saturday decrying President Donald Trump’s aggressive deportation efforts, war in Iran and other policies in the third round of the “No Kings” rallies.

Meta is convinced we’re stupid.

Meta is owned by Mark Zuckerberg. Let’s see how much money he has (from Forbes Real Time Billionaires): On Monday, Zuckerberg’s fortune totaled $242 billion.

Meta doesn’t want to piss off the corrupt racist, rapist Orange pedophile. Here’s how it, and other corporate toadies, are using their money, not for the improvement of American lives, but to bribe the most bribable president in American history:

There are no coincidences anymore. Meta will fund a corrupt politician and muzzle protests against him while at the same time allowing content that drives children to suicide. You think I’m exaggerating?

Social media giant Meta has agreed to a $18bn (£13.3bn) settlement with US states and territories to resolve claims that Facebook and Instagram harmed children.

A California judge approved the settlement, which Meta must pay to 48 states, plus the District of Columbia and three US territories, marking the company’s largest payment over child safety litigation to date.

The ultrawealthy will do everything they can to keep the rest of us underfoot. We should realize they have the means and power to do so.
