Shameka Parrish Wright is running for mayor of Louisville, facing the quisling incumbent Craig Greenberg.

We’ve continually pointed out how Greenberg has threatened the lives of our immigrant neighbors by bending the knee to the Orange Menace in the White House and letting ICE agents run rampant across the city.

Competent mayors don’t intentionally let goons kidnap their citizens.

Greenberg completely screwed up road construction during the shutdown of I-65 through downtown Louisville, creating dangerous driving conditions in which oversized trucks consistently crashed into a low bridge near the University of Louisville campus.

Competent mayors make sure roads are clearly marked and safe for everyone driving through their cities.

Greenberg, all of a sudden, announced there will be a moratorium on huge power hungry, water abusing data centers, after a deal was already arranged by one of his cronies and campaign contributors to build a data center in the western part of the city. You know, where poor people live.

Competent mayors don’t screw over the least vulnerable of their citizens by selling out to ultra wealthy tech bros and real estate developers who donate to their campaigns expecting a quid pro quo.

Greenberg continues to preside over and encourage a police department that targets people who are not White for unwarranted searches. This is from the city’s inspector general.

The Louisville Metro Office of Inspector General is alarmed by the findings of an analysis commissioned by the Louisville Metro Police Department showing a racial disparity in the composition of traffic stops, substantial department-wide disparities in discretionary searches, and lower search effectiveness involving Black subjects.

LMPD’s Racial Disparities in Stop Outcomes (2025) report examined 37,765 stops. Black subjects accounted for 47.37% of all stops, the largest share of any racial group, compared with 41.25% for White subjects, a 6.12 percentage-point difference. In addition, Black subjects were subjected to discretionary searches 132.9% more often than White subjects overall, more than twice the rate. Even after accounting for location, age range, and stop reason, Black subjects were searched 66.3% more often than similarly situated White subjects.

The atrocity here is Black people make up 22% of Louisville’s population, but they account for an absurd number of racist police searches.

Competent mayors make sure law enforcement doesn’t perform like a Klan posse hunting runaway slaves. But this is Greenberg’s stand on race relations in Louisville:
