Louisvillians protest ICE murder in Minneapolis

About 1,000 Louisvillians got together last night to protest the murder in Minneapolis of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good by the Orange Menace’s ICE stooges. In addition to shooting an innocent person in the face, the administration’s secret police have run rampant across the nation, breaking up families, terrorizing children and illegally shipping American citizens out of the country under the pretense that they are illegal immigrants.

The fact that immigration secret police would murder an innocent person and that the flatulent, senile, rapist in the White House would support that killing should come as no surprise. But truly patriotic Americans (that means folks who aren’t MAGA morons) across the country gathered yesterday to rally against that murderous behavior, and that should encourage us all.

Here’s how things looked in downtown Louisville last night:

And as decent Americans voice their opposition to the denial of rights and life by the depraved kakocracy that our MAGAt neighbors inflicted on us, words we should live by come from the mayor of Minneapolis:

Yes, people in Louisville gathered last night and support the message coming from the mayor of another city.

Even Louisville’s police chief says there was no excuse for the Minneapolis murder:

A day after a federal immigration officer shot and killed a woman in Minneapolis, the city’s police chief described the incident as “entirely predictable.”

Louisville Metro Police Chief Paul Humphrey, on Jan. 8, agreed with the chief, Brian O’Hara, saying that it was “obvious this was a predictable outcome.”

“When it comes to the tactics, you know, that remains to be determined, but there is a reason we have policies that say, ‘don’t put yourself in a bad position.’ That’s why we have policies surrounding shooting at people inside of vehicles. It seems like it was something that, based on tactics, could have been easily preventable,” Humphrey, a former Louisville SWAT officer and 20-year veteran of the department, said during an unrelated news conference.

But as we rally together in the Derby City, we have to remember that Louisville’s mayor has given ICE free reign. As the New York Times said in August:

A Risky Bet: Louisville’s Democratic Mayor Accommodates ICE

Craig Greenberg’s move, requested by the Trump administration, allows federal agents more time to detain immigrants who are held at the city’s jail.

And don’t forget this from LEO Weekly:

Louisville will no longer be classified as a sanctuary city, following a policy reversal by Mayor Craig Greenberg under mounting federal pressure and threats to critical funding.

Greenberg said during a press conference on Tuesday that Louisville Metro Corrections will start honoring 48-hour immigration detainers again. This is a protocol that was in place before 2017 and gives federal immigration officials two days’ notice before certain undocumented inmates are freed. The city only gave 5 to 12 hours’ notice till today.

Louisville’s mayor has shown he has no spine to stand up to this anti-democracy intrusion is a sign that we need a new mayor. There’s an election in 2026. This is the time to root from office the Quislings who are destroying our country and to join the people in the photo below supporting liberty and justice for all.

(And I have to get this shot in on the local newspaper. We had a demonstration against fascism attended by 1,000 people in the heart of out city. This is the lead headline on the CJ’s home page: Best hidden gem restaurants in Louisville? 10 places you can’t miss. Our local media is failing us AGAIN!)
