Massie gets final vote to release Epstein files

I’m not sure if this is the right interpretation for this, but this is the way the CJ presents it:

Republican Rep. Thomas Massie’s charge to release the Epstein files is making significant movement.

A discharge petition spearheaded by Massie and Rep. Ro Khanna, D-California, secured its 218th signature on Nov. 12, a crucial step to force a House floor vote on a bill that would compel the U.S. Department of Justice to release all files in its investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The petition required 218 signatures to move forward over the objection of House Republican leadership, who typically decide what bills get voted on on the House floor.

But let’s be serious. The only way this is moving forward is because Speaker of the House and “Hey, son! Look at my porn” crony Mike Johnson finally had to swear in the Arizona congresswoman who provided the necessary vote for passage of petition:

Rep. Adelita Grijalva, D-Arizona, was the final signature needed. She previously vowed to sign the petition if she won a special election for Arizona’s 7th Congressional District.

Of course, the CJ never bothers to point out that the petition would have been approved weeks ago but was delayed because Johnson was determined to protect the rapist pedophile Orange Menace.

And we know he’s a rapist pedophile because:

Today, Oversight Democrats and Ranking Member Robert Garcia released never-before-seen emails from the latest production from Jeffrey Epstein’s Estate, striking a blow against the White House’s Epstein cover-up. In private correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein wrote in 2011 that Donald Trump, “spent hours at my house” with a victim of sex trafficking, referring to Trump as “dog that hasn’t barked.” In a separate email with author Michael Wolff in 2019, Epstein stated explicitly that Donald Trump, “knew about the girls as he asked ghislaine to stop.” In another email with Wolff in 2015, Epstein and Wolff discuss if they can “craft an answer” for Trump’s upcoming CNN interview, with Wolff characterizing Epstein’s leverage over Donald Trump, saying, “If he says he hasn’t been on the plane or to the house, then that gives you a valuable PR and political currency.” The Epstein Estate released a total of 23,000 documents that the Oversight Committee is currently reviewing.

“The more Donald Trump tries to cover up the Epstein files, the more we uncover. These latest emails and correspondence raise glaring questions about what else the White House is hiding and the nature of the relationship between Epstein and the President,” said Ranking Member Robert Garcia. “The Department of Justice must fully release the Epstein files to the public immediately. The Oversight Committee will continue pushing for answers and will not stop until we get justice for the victims.”

That information, along with copies of the emails (including the one at the top of this post) are from the House Oversight Committee looking into the sex scandal.

Although Massie has been a champion in terms of getting the Epstein information out to the public, the remaining GOP members of the Kentucky congressional delegation still show they have no problem with supporting the sex offender in chief.

All 213 Democrats in the House have signed the petition, along with Republican Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert and Nancy Mace. None of Kentucky’s Republican representatives, besides Massie, have signed it.
