PADUCAH — Protesters, some dressed as chickens, gathered Thursday outside of Rep. James Comer’s field office in downtown Paducah. They claim Comer is “too chicken” to speak to the public in the traditional town hall format, where government officials meet and take questions from constituents. 

The response from Comer’s staff:

Congressman Comer does not plan on holding therapy sessions for left-wing activists suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome.

For those in Kentucky’s first congressional district who voted for the artful town hall dodger, just know that when your healthcare is taken away, your children’s schools are closed and you lose your Social Security to Wall Street and billionaires, you’re not really suffering, you’re just deranged.

(A tip for demonstrators: Chicken suits ARE kind of stupid. Spend the money you used for the costume to buy poultry dolls or puppets and leave them at his office. When the cameras are gone and the demonstration disbands, the toys can go to local charities and given to children. And a tip for WPSD Local 6: Let us know when Comer had his last town hall meeting and what happened that traumatized him so much he’s too chicken to hold another.)
