Another Kentucky Republican stands up to TACO

We’ve made it clear that we pretty much disagree with everything the GOP congressional delegation does, but it seems the only Republicans in Congress standing up to the orange menace are from Kentucky.

We’ve already noted that Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell have taken a stand against the ridiculous tariffs decreed by the White House. They’ve made it clear that it’s stupid economic policy.

Now, we are in war mode with Iran, and this happened:

And this from Newsweek:

Republican Representative Thomas Massie said that President Donald Trump‘s decision to bomb three nuclear sites in Iran is “unconstitutional” as the president faces stark division within his own party. …

Massie has been a staunch opponent of striking Iran, previously saying he would not back a move to get involved in a “regime change war.” Other Republican leaders like Lindsey Graham have urged Trump to go “all in” on Iran.

Massie is right! (I can’t believe I wrote that!)

We probably would disagree with him the vast majority of the time, but he also came out against TACO’s Big Beautiful Bullshit Budget Bill, because it will balloon the deficit.

In our recent podcast, I misidentified the part of Kentucky Massie represents. It’s the 4th congressional district, stretching across northern Kentucky along the Ohio River from the Louisville and Cincinnati suburbs to Ironton in the east.

As far as we can tell, no other Kentucky GOP U.S. rep has voiced opposition to the bombing. Let’s give Massie credit, at least he’s not a toady like the rest of the delegation.
