‘No Kings’ rally in the Ville

People are out in the streets, showing that Americans from coast to coast are fed up with the oligarchal MAGAt clown circus currently infesting the center ring in the White House. From the CJ:

Thousands of protesters gathered in downtown Louisville on June 14, joining about 2,000 “No Kings” demonstrations coordinated nationally in what organizers called a rejection of authoritarianism and a display of opposition to President Donald Trump’s administration.

The protests, organized by 50501, the American Civil Liberties Union and dozens of other partners, were held amid rising tensions around the country. Trump’s aggressive deportation blitz, which has faced legal scrutiny in some cases, has been a driving factor for days-long demonstrations in Los Angeles and elsewhere.

On the steps of Metro Hall at Sixth and Jefferson streets, protesters began gathering before noon, carrying signs that read “No kings in America” and “Dictator or democracy: That’s the choice.” Drivers honked their horns as they passed the demonstration, spurring cheers from the crowd. Ponchos and umbrellas came out as a short rain storm passed over.

Meanwhile, the Washington Post vomits this bowl of mush:

Thousands of Americans are gathering Saturday in cities across the country for an organized day of protests dubbed “No Kings Nationwide Day of Defiance” against President Donald Trump’s policies. Protesters have gathered in cities including Atlanta, Philadelphia, Houston and West Palm Beach, Florida — where Trump has a home — ahead of his grand military parade in Washington. The parade celebrates the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army and falls on Trump’s 79th birthday. It is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Eastern time. Weather could be an issue. Trump said in a social media post Saturday that the parade will take place “rain or shine.”

Some simple math here.

There are thousands of No Kings protesters in Louisville.

There are more than 2,000 protests against the diaper wearing TACO nationwide.

There is no way the Washington Post should get away with saying “Thousands of Americans” when basic multiplication shows the number of protesters is in the millions.

And “grand military parade”? It’s a grand waste of money, especially when MAGA-infested Republicans in D.C. are frothing at the mouth to take money from poor people to appease their billionaire owners.

The Washington Post lost more than $100 million after Jeff Bezos and his main Post toady (a former Rupert Murdoch sycophant) got on their knees to fellate the convicted flatulent rapist and commander-in-thief.

[T]he Post – under its British chief executive and publisher, Will Lewis – is trying to find other ways of drawing in readers following reported losses of $100m … last year.

Since the Post can’t do basic math, it deserves its losses.
