Support abducted neighbors

Our neighbors are being abducted. They are being abducted and then transported to jails hundreds or thousands of miles away from their families, their loved ones, and their homes. They are kept in jails across the country, including Kentucky, which is estimated to have around 1,150 people held in detention across the state.

Often without a bed, given little regard to what language they speak, or what their dietary or religious needs are, they endure months in detention in truly isolating experiences. Calor Humano (an LSURJ project) provides support for these neighbors through commissary fund donations, phone account funds, volunteer visits, legal aid support, and transport & care when released. Together with your support, we can help them get through such dark experiences.

$5 will allow a detained person to have a 10 minute phone call with their family.

$30 will purchase necessary items from the commissary like deodorant, undergarments, feminine hygiene products.

Thank you for providing an act of warmth to those who have been treated so coldly.
