The Orange Menace’s Gestapo has murdered two people in Minneapolis. Video shows the shooting of two people by ICE goons in the streets of the city. News reports have documented blatant lying of the federal miscreants at the highest levels of government.

So how does this apply to folks in the Bluegrass State? Here’s an interesting observation from the otherwise useless CJ:

In a statement, Kentucky state Rep. Nima Kulkarni, a Louisville Democrat and immigration attorney, called on Beshear “to be prepared to call in the National Guard to protect Kentuckians” as tensions related to immigration enforcement rise around the country. She also asked Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg to “stop his complicity with ICE.”

In July 2025, Greenberg announced that the city would begin complying with immigration detainers — a request for another law enforcement agency to hold an immigrant for up to 48 hours longer than they would otherwise hold them to give federal agents time to take them into custody.

Our cowardly mayor invited these jackbooted thugs into our city and has been silent on their rampage of murder and kidnapping throughout the country. Attica Scott, who has run for local office, offers this response:

Here’s my call to action to my southern siblings and anyone who wants to join us:

📢 Demand that our mayors, governors, and community leaders not bow down to this administration’s violence or excuses.

📢 Actually listen to Black women and folks on the front lines. We tried to warn you. I voted uncommitted in the primary election in Kentucky in 2024, but I’ll be damned if I sat it out in November. That would have been foolishness. 

📢 Support the families of Renee Good, Alex Pretti, Keith Porter, Liam Ramos, Karla Baltazar, and countless others who have been harmed by US terrorism agencies, including the folks in your own backyard. 

📢 Back the judges and elected officials with the courage to stand up. I know it’s not many and I know what it’s like to be one.

📢 As Black History Month begins, we will keep writing our history of justice, resistance, and hope for the future.

Our mayor has proved he’s an ICE stooge. His obvious distain for the nonwhite citizens of his city shows he’s unfit for office and should be voted out (by a landslide) in his next election.
