Looking through various local news feeds this past weekend, we came across this steaming pile of BS from WDRB:

Hundreds of Indiana National Guard members arrived in Washington, D.C. 

The planned deployment of 300 soldiers was part of President Trump’s Safe and Beautiful mission aimed at offering security to select cities. 

Hoosier Guardsmen will assist local and federal law enforcement partners, and they will conduct community safety patrols, manage traffic control posts to reduce crime, minimize property damage and keep the peace.

Indiana National Guard Lt. Col. Derek Sutton, commander of the D.C. contingent, spoke at the departure ceremony at the Johnson County Armory  in Franklin on Friday. 

There is no damn reason for Indiana to send troops to D.C. other than MAGA Republican leadership in the state is falling over itself to kiss the rear end of the Orange Menace.

U.S. News & World Report ranked the 25 most dangerous cities in the nation for 2025 and 2026. Washington, D.C., wasn’t among them.

Sixteen of the 25 most dangerous cities in the nation are in Red states, and Indiana is geographically closer to those states than it is to the nation’s capital.

Unfortunately, one of the most dangerous cities in the country is right here: Louisville ranks 21st.

I have an apartment in D.C.

Last week, I walked about an hour from my place in Southwest D.C. to a restaurant near Dupont Circle. At night. Never felt threatened.

Want to know the police activity I did see during that walk? People peacefully demonstrating against ICE raids a couple of blocks from my apartment.

You want to know where the real criminals are in D.C.? Look at the photo at the top of this post. If you’re going to send the National Guard in, go to that building.

WDRB has performed a disservice by taking the word of a convicted felon, who’s a conman, rapist and pedophile, and falling for the lie that these occupations are anything other than MAGAts invading cities that lean Democratic in Blue states or region and saying the reason is to offer “security to select cities.”

WDRB has sold its soul to Fox News. And that why a lot of our local news coverage sucks.
