MAGA Republicans are hell bent on starving poor people. This appeared in the Courier Journal:
With millions of Americans about to lose their SNAP benefits, Kentucky communities are struggling to fill the gap.
SNAP is a federal program that provides low-income families with monthly benefits and food stamps to afford healthy food.
Due to the continuing partial government shutdown, funding for benefits runs out on Saturday, Nov. 1. The U.S. Department of Agriculture, or USDA, which oversees the program, said in a message on its website that no benefits will be issued.
According to USA TODAY, though benefits are issued monthly, they do not expire for a full calendar year, so recipients who have leftover money can still use it in November.
Gov. Andy Beshear is among a coalition of Democratic states and governors suing the Trump administration in a push to stop the White House from ending Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits Nov. 1 as the government shutdown reached Day 28.

We’re going to keep harping on this, but in the last presidential election, 64 percent of Kentucky voters, an overwhelming figure, decided a corrupt, rapist, pedophile felon was a better choice than a person who put corrupt, rapist, pedophile felons in jail.
What is infuriating is 20 percent of children in Kentucky face hunger, but a majority of their parents voted for the party that is taking away the food and health resources keeping kids alive.
Poor people will rely on food banks throughout the state to keep from starving, since MAGA Republicans prefer to give tax cuts to billionaires and support the Orange Menace as he tears down the White House, take luxury jets as bribes and sue the government in order to get back the hundreds of millions of dollars he has to pay for being a corrupt swindler. MAGA is a cancer on America.
I’ve been a monthly donor for several years to the Dare to Care Food Bank in Jefferson County, and those who can afford to do so should see how they can help food banks in their regions. The map above shows where food banks are throughout the state.
We have to do something, because we can’t expect the GOP to help the people who put them in office.
