Louisville Public Media comes up short on election news

So this appeared on the Louisville Public Media website this week:

The Jefferson County Clerk’s Office is preparing for a special election to fill the seat for Kentucky Senate District 37 — it became vacant when Democrat David Yates left in order to become the head of that same clerk’s office.

While turnout at special elections is often poor, Yates said he is hopeful the district he served for many years will show up to the polls.

“I suspect that we may surprise ourselves with the turnout,” Yates said. “There’s a lot of engagement, and we’ll make every opportunity we can for people to be able to get out and vote.”

There will be eight locations that will be open for early and election day voting. In-person no excuse early voting will be Dec. 11, 12 and 13 ahead of election day on Dec. 16.

It also says this:

Three candidates have so far registered for the seat: Democrat and local union leader Gary Clemons, GOP U.S. Army veteran Calvin Leach and Libertarian Wendy Higdon.

You would think LPM would give more background on what each of the candidates stands for, especially since one is a soul-sucking sexist incel (pictured above). As LPM noted just days ago:

In a since-deleted Medium post published in February 2018 and titled “Why You Should Never Become Emotionally Invested in Millennial Females,” Leach lamented his “encounter with the dating scene,” which had led him to believe “the vast majority of young women nowadays have a warped perception of the dating game and operate in it with no moral compass.”

Leach, now 35, at times referred to women in offensive terms, calling them “promiscuous skanks” who have been “put on a pedestal by society” and only date for personal gain.

“These girls are soulless parasites,” Leach at one point wrote. “Don’t walk away. Run.”

LPM broke the story, and must remind readers that one choice is much worse than the others. This is not an irrelevant point, or a matter of “media bias,” since few people pay attention to special elections. Constant reminders are needed when MAGA cultists seek office.
