The congressman for Kentucky’s 1st congressional district thinks it’s a good idea to shift the Epstein scandal from the senile and incontinent Orange TACO to Bill Clinton. Of course, he got it wrong:

U.S. Rep. James Comer wields consequential power in Washington, D.C., as chairman of a House committee responsible for holding federal agencies accountable.
In that role, the Kentucky Republican has gained national attention for leading high-profile investigations into former President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, as well as former Vice President Kamala Harris. He’s questioned Democratic mayors and governors about their jurisdictions’ sanctuary policies and scrutinized federal spending during the COVID-19 pandemic.
But has his focus on national politics hindered his ability to help the Bluegrass state?
Not at all:
Kentucky’s 1st Congressional District, which Comer represents, spans from Western Kentucky east into Central Kentucky, reaching north into Frankfort.
That’s where some of his constituents gathered at a town hall hosted by Capital Indivisible in July to voice concerns about cuts to Medicaid and SNAP, as well as other economic issues.
Some also expressed discontent with Comer’s focus on national matters, including his spearheading of investigations into the Biden family, saying “that’s not what Kentucky needs.”
Starting in 2023, Comer helped lead a 15-month impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden, which investigated his family’s foreign business activities. And in 2025, he launched a separate probe into the former president’s mental fitness, after several books detailed his alleged cognitive and physical decline while in office.
Comer also released a book this year titled “All the President’s Money: Investigating the Secret Foreign Schemes That Made the Biden Family Rich.”
“There’s a time and place to do everything, and there has to be justice whenever justice is needed to be served, but (Comer) is not listening to Kentuckians,” said Stella Pollard, a Democrat running for state Senate in District 20. “We need jobs. We need health care. We need education.”
The failure of this newspaper story is that it doesn’t state the obvious. None of his investigations of Democrats have proved any wrongdoing. They’ve just been a waste of time and money.
Why is he doing this?
Comer has said he plans to run for reelection in 2026 — and he’s already drawn a Democratic challenger in John “Drew” Williams. But as he also eyes another shot at governor in 2027, his work in D.C. — and what Kentuckians think of it — could impact his potential success.
This is why the state is stuck with this “obnoxious and talky chatterbox.” Voters in his district are deep in the cult of MAGA.
Meanwhile, let’s take a look at his evolution:
Finally, he’s evolved to a congressman for Kentucky’s First District.
