From the Courier Journal:
Louisville residents who rely on federal housing assistance could be at risk of instability if Congress passes massive cuts to national programs, including Section 8, as proposed by the Trump administration.
In May, the White House proposed cutting almost $33 billion, or 44%, in funding for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in the fiscal year 2026 budget. With the “Big, Beautiful Bill” signed into law July 4, Congress is expected to soon shift to budget discussions.
Louisville Metro Housing Authority Executive Director Elizabeth Strojan said following the 2024 presidential election, HUD began sending “get ready” letters to public housing agencies nationwide, advising them to review their budgets and address the risk of potential shortfalls in Section 8 funding.
Of course, when this happens the first group to lose housing assistance should be everyone who voted for the senile, incontinent liar, since this is what they want. Just like all the farmers who voted for him should lose all their subsidies. They wanted to inflict pain on others.
