Fine dining in the Ville

Looking for a fancy place to eat in Louisville? Well, here’s one of the best restaurants in the country. From the CJ:

When considering lucky numbers, 610 doesn’t usually come out on top.

You could count this time as different.

Opinionated About Dining, a well-known dining resource and the only survey “that factors experience into its rating system,” according to its site, recently announced its list of the top restaurants of 2025 in North America.

Of 610 ranked restaurants, from Yoshino in New York City as No. 1 to Lago by Julian Serrano in Las Vegas in the No. 610 spot, only one Kentucky restaurant made the 2025 list.

That would be 610 Magnolia, the Old Louisville fine-dining eatery from chef Edward Lee, placing in the No. 423 slot. …

As far as recognition for neighboring states goes, Indiana was left off the list. Thirty restaurants based in Chicago and seven restaurants from Nashville, Tennessee, appeared on the 2025 ranking, including Catbird Seat in the No. 14 spot. The Refectory in Columbus also made the cut as the lone Ohio shout-out in the No. 578 place.

Opinionated About Dining pools from more than 200,000 reviews contributed by more than 6,000 people who registered for the survey, according to its site.

We’ve eaten at 610 many times, and the best part is it’s walking distance from where we live. Great place for celebrating anniversaries.

I’ve met Chef Lee a number of times, both here and at his restaurant, Succotash, in Washington, D.C., and I have a photo of the chef with my family at his restaurant Nami in Louisville. The last time we went to 610 was in March, and the place was packed.

So we’re not the only ones who know where to find great food in Louisville.
