This Ky. legislator decided to join the clown show!

The latest clown in the GOP circus tent is from Eastern Kentucky

Paraphrasing “The A-Team,” I love it when a plan falls apart. From CBS:

The relationship between President Trump and Elon Musk broke down in dramatic and public fashion on Thursday, with the president threatening to cancel Musk’s lucrative government contracts and Musk claiming that Mr. Trump could not have won the presidency without him, fueling a feud that erupted over Musk’s opposition to Republicans’ tax and budget bill.

In the afternoon, Musk dropped what he called “the really big bomb,” alleging that Mr. Trump’s name appeared in the files related to the case of Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier who died by suicide in federal custody in 2019 while facing charges of sex trafficking. “@realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public,” Musk wrote on X. “Have a nice day, DJT!”

Trump officials vowed to unveil more files related to the Epstein case when the administration took power. In February, the Justice Department issued a limited release of unredacted versions of files that had been public for years, a move that was met with criticism by conservatives who have demanded more transparency.

Mr. Trump soon responded with another post of his own: “I don’t mind Elon turning against me, but he should have done so months ago. This is one of the Greatest Bills ever presented to Congress.”

Musk also expressed support for a post that said Mr. Trump should be impeached and replaced by Vice President JD Vance.

Which makes it more absurd that anyone would now leave the Democratic Party to join the dysfunctional GOP. But leave it to someone from Kentucky to do just that:

The Republican Party’s supermajority hold in the Kentucky General Assembly gained strength May 30.

Sen. Robin Webb, who represents Eastern Kentucky, announced she switched her party affiliation from Democrat to Republican ahead of the 2026 legislative session.

Webb said in a press release she chose to leave the Democratic Party because it “has increasingly alienated lifelong rural Democrats like myself by failing to support the issues that matter most to rural Kentuckians.”

Webb has served in the state Senate since 2009. Her district is made up of Boyd, Carter, Greenup and Lewis counties.

Her announcement leaves the body with six Democrats and 32 Republicans.

Now, Robin, what are those issues? Do rural Kentuckians enjoy paying more for food? Do they want to lose have their jobs taken away from them by a bunch of tech incels? Do they pray to God that somebody will please take their healthcare away from them, because heaven knows, crippling disease is the best way to lose weight? Do rural Kentuckians believe more money should go to billionaires and are happy that the Big Beautiful Batch of Bullshit Bill is going to do a reverse Robin Hood on their asses? Are you proud to affiliate yourself with a ketamine-addled illegal South African Space Nazi yelling “Bad dog” at the flatulent senile Orange Chia pet he definitely paid too much for?

Because that’s the circus you’ve decided to be the newest clown in.
