Kentucky’s GOP congressional delegation: AWOL as usual

From MSN:

Nine House Republicans bucked leadership on Tuesday and joined all Democrats in voting against a procedural hurdle to kill a discharge petition that allows new parents to vote remotely.

Reps. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), Tim Burchett (R-TN), Kevin Kiley (R-CA), Nick LaLota (R-NY), Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ), Max Miller (R-OH), Mike Lawler (R-NY), Greg Steube (R-FL), and Ryan Mackenzie (R-PA) voted against the rule that would have advanced the SAVE Act and the No Rogue Rulings Act for votes later this week.

Luna is the co-author of the bipartisan bill to change the rules and allow new parents to vote by proxy beginning on the date of the birth and terminating 12 weeks after. She was the 12th woman to give birth while serving in Congress in history, followed by Rep. Brittany Pettersen (D-CO), the Democratic co-author.

I probably will disagree with these nine on everything else, because they’d fallen under the spell of the hair-plugged, illegal-alien, South African Space Nazi and his incontinent senile Orange Chia Pet, but this at least gives us a shred of hope that even a few Republicans will buck those oligarchs and try to do right by the American people.

Unlike every Republican member of the Kentucky congressional delegation. They’re too busy hunkered down in their hidey holes, too afraid to actually do something for their constituents … like hold town hall meetings and listen to people who are hurting. I mean, damn, a Republican in Tennessee actually was one of the nine who cared enough for his constituents to vote with Luna.

This is congresswoman Luna. She has more balls than any of the GOP sycophants we’re stuck with here in the Bluegrass State. (Since that’s a big word, they probably don’t understand, I’ll simplify it to “ass kissers.”)

And just one more thing, the only Democrat in this state’s delegation should be holding town halls in the districts where the wimps won’t. Problem is a vast majority in this congressional district don’t even know who he is. Which is really unfortunate when you realize that if you asked people here, “Who’s that Puerto Rican congresswoman in New York who’s giving the Nazi and his Chia Pet fits,” I’d bet they’d be able to at least give her initials: AOC.
