Seriously?! The guy who isn’t yelling at the top of his lungs about how tariffs (by his fearless leader) on Canada are about to screw over one of this state’s most important industries, is instead focusing on what MAGA would call “hugging trees.”
From the Courier-Journal: U.S. senators from both sides of the aisle have introduced a bill aimed at conserving and bolstering America’s White Oak tree population — a vital resource to Kentucky’s bourbon industry.
U.S. Sens. Mitch McConnell, of Kentucky, and Mark Warner, of Virginia, introduced the White Oak Resilience Act of 2025 Thursday, according to a news release from McConnell’s office. If passed, the bill would allocate federal resources to assess and strengthen White Oak populations and fund research to determine best practices for forwarding the species.
So he brought the gasoline and matches for the mob, but doesn’t want to be blamed for not having the trees to burn?
